Amnesia MAC Ganja by Kera Seeds
Amnesia × Mac Ganja Haze
Amnesia Mac Ganja, often shortened to AMG, is a predominantly sativa cultivar recognized for its energetic and cerebral effects, carrying a distinct Haze character. Bred by Kera Seeds, it is reported to be a cross between the legendary Amnesia and a selection known as Mac Ganja Haze. This combination aims to merge the uplifting qualities of Amnesia with the complex spice of Mac Ganja Haze.
Appearance
AMG plants typically exhibit a sativa-forward structure with elongated branches and moderate internodal spacing. The leaves are generally thin to medium-width, characteristic of Haze genetics. Under optimal conditions, the flowers form airy tops that develop into colas, rather than dense single buds. The buds are often tapered and resistant to foxtailing, featuring a high calyx-to-leaf ratio and a frosty trichome coating that gives mature colas a silvery appearance. Stigmas transition from orange to a darker rust as the plant ripens.
Aroma & Flavor
The aroma of AMG is frequently described as a blend of lemon zest, cracked pepper, and incense-like Haze notes. Initial scents often lean towards citrus, with hints of lemon peel and grapefruit pith, suggesting the presence of limonene. As the flowers cure, spicier elements emerge, including black pepper and a subtle herbal bitterness. Underlying tones of pine and wood may also be present, potentially from terpinolene and pinene. When ground, a sharper peppery and cardamom-like aroma is commonly reported, indicative of beta-caryophyllene. The overall flavor profile is often noted as citrusy and spicy with a classic Haze finish.
Effects
AMG is known for its predominantly sativa effects, characterized by an energetic and cerebral experience. It is often described as promoting creativity, focus, and social engagement, making it suitable for daytime use. The onset of effects is typically rapid, leading to a sustained uplifting sensation. Consumers often report a clear-headed high that supports productivity and mental activity.
Terpenes & Cannabinoids
This strain typically tests between 20-23% THC, with CBD levels consistently below 1%. The terpene profile is often dominated by limonene, caryophyllene, pinene, and terpinolene. These compounds contribute to the strain's distinct citrus, spicy, and herbal aromatic and flavor notes. Total terpene content often ranges from 1.5% to 3.0% of dry flower weight.
Growing
AMG generally exhibits sativa-like growth patterns, including significant stretching after the transition to flowering. Indoor plants, when trained, typically reach heights of 80-120 cm, while untrained plants can grow taller. Outdoor plants may reach 150-200 cm. The flowering period commonly lasts around 9-10 weeks (63-70 days). Yields are considered competitive for a Haze-dominant sativa. The plant's structure is amenable to various training techniques, such as Screen of Green (ScrOG) or trellising.
Origins & Lineage
Amnesia Mac Ganja (AMG) was developed by Kera Seeds in the Netherlands. Its lineage is a cross between the renowned Amnesia strain and a selection known as Mac Ganja Haze. This breeding choice aimed to combine the potent, uplifting effects and citrus notes of Amnesia with the spicy, incense-like qualities and resin production of Mac Ganja Haze. The strain has also been offered in feminized form by other seedbanks, contributing to its wider availability.
